Exotic Flower Arrangements

Beautiful and colorful exotic plants add a special touch to your flower arrangements at home, garden, wedding, or banquet. If you want to add a splash of color to your flower arrangements, make use of the wild and exotic flowers such as heliconia, lotuses, birds of paradise, orchids, ginger, and palm.

In modern gardens often populated by roses and zinnias, wildflowers can be considered exotic as well because they grow wild in wide, open spaces. These flowers may look simple but they add a graceful flair to flower arrangements. Wildflowers are manageable to plant and they also possess a resistance to diseases, pests, and harsh climates, as well. They can survive in different soil types such as clay, sandy, nutrient poor soil, and practically even at no soil at all.

Since wildflowers are not common to most people, such flower arrangements are unique and may come off as unusual. The best way to acquire the beauty of the wildflowers is to create a garden of wildflowers. The basic way to grow a wildflower garden is to sow seeds by scattering them on a clear and well-prepared ground. There should be no competition with other grasses and weeds so that they can grow fully. To prepare the garden, tap of the seeds, water the growing plants, and pull out weeds.

Growing wildflowers from seeds is a more practical and economical way of acquiring them than buying matured ones. However, one disadvantage of such procedure is the long time requirement of germination and maturation.

With wildflowers at hand, you can make exotic flower arrangements anytime you want. You do not need to order from your florist or online flower shops. Wildflowers do not need complicated arrangements to set them off. You can get a handful of wildflowers from your garden and put them inside an empty milk bottle. If you want to make them into a bouquet, you can simply get another handful and tie a colorful string around the stems.
